NANO BROWS VS MICROBLADING

NANO BROWS VS MICROBLADING

A new term has entered the beauty conversation: Machine Nano Brows. You may have seen images of soft, natural-looking results and wondered how they differ from Microblading, which once promised the same.

Both techniques are forms of cosmetic tattooing. Each places pigment into the upper layer of skin to create hair-like strokes. The difference lies in how the pigment is implanted — and that difference matters for skin health and long-term results.

Microblading uses a handheld blade to create small incisions in the skin. Pigment is deposited directly inside these cuts with little control. While this method can create defined strokes initially, incisions lead to increased immune response, scar tissue formation and pigment spreading over time.

Machine hairstroke “Nanobrows” use a specialized machine and fine needle to gently implant pigment through precise punctures rather than cuts. This approach allows for greater control of depth, density and stroke variation, creating more dimensional and realistic results while being significantly less traumatic to the skin.
Because of this, nano techniques generally:
• Heal more predictably
• Maintain stroke clarity longer
• Allow for safer future touch-ups
• Reduce the likelihood of scar tissue buildup

Skin type also plays an important role. Many individuals — especially those with visible pores, oilier skin, or mature skin — are not ideal candidates for blading methods. Advanced machine techniques offer a more adaptable solution for a wider range of clients.

Another consideration is flexibility. Should you ever wish to adjust or remove your cosmetic tattoo, machine-placed pigment is typically more responsive to removal methods than pigment encapsulated in scar tissue.

The evolution toward nano techniques reflects a broader shift in our industry: prioritizing skin integrity, longevity and natural refinement.

At ASUNTA, we create soft, dimensional hair strokes using advanced machine techniques — artistry designed to enhance, never overpower.
