At Asunta Cosmetic Tattoo, proper after-care is essential to ensure safe healing, optimal pigment retention, and the best possible healed results. Cosmetic tattooing is a process, and the care you provide your skin after your appointment directly affects the final outcome.

By receiving services at Asunta Cosmetic Tattoo, You acknowledge that you understand and agree to follow all after-care instructions provided for your specific treatment.

General After-Care Guidelines (All Services)

The following guidelines apply to all cosmetic tattoo services unless otherwise instructed:

  • Treat the treated area as an open wound during the healing process.
  • Do not touch, rub, scratch, or pick at the area.
  • Avoid makeup, skincare products, oils, or SPF on the treated area until fully healed.
  • Avoid sweating, workouts, swimming, saunas, steam rooms, and submerging the area in water.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning during healing.
  • Use only approved after-care products provided or recommended by your artist.
  • Wash hands thoroughly before any contact with the treated area.
  • Healing times vary by service and skin type; full healing can take 4–8 weeks.

Healing Expectations

  • Redness, swelling, tenderness, flaking, and color changes are normal.
  • Pigment will appear darker initially and soften as it heals.
  • Some pigment loss is expected during healing.
  • Touch-ups may be necessary to perfect results and are not always included unless stated.

Improper after-care may result in infections and discomfort. Signs of infection include excessive heat, increasing pain, foul odor, or yellow/green discharge. If these symptoms occur, please seek medical attention immediately.

Failure to disclose accurate information releases Asunta Cosmetic Tattoo from liability for adverse outcomes. Digital acknowledgment is legally binding.

Service-Specific After-Care Instructions

Cleanse brows gently using bottled or sterile water and disposable materials as instructed.
Apply a minimal amount of after-care balm to keep brows hydrated but breathable.
Avoid water, sweat, skincare, and makeup near the brows for the first 7 days.
Do not pick at flakes or scabs.
Avoid sun exposure for 30 days; once healed, use SPF to protect pigment.
Follow a dry healing routine: no water, ointment, moisture, or sweat on the eyes for 7 days.
Avoid touching, rubbing, or applying products near the eyes.
Expect swelling, particularly in the first few days.
Avoid makeup, skincare, sunscreen, workouts, steam, and sun exposure for the recommended healing period.
Lash extensions may be reapplied two weeks after the touch-up appointment.
Do not wear contact lenses for at least 48 hours post-procedure. Wear glasses during this time to allow the eyes to breathe and heal.
Expect swelling and tenderness during the first 1–2 days.
Gently blot lymph fluid and keep lips moisturized with the provided balm.
Use a straw when drinking and clean lips after eating.
Do not pick or peel lips.
Lips continue healing for up to 6 weeks.
Keep the treated area clean, protected, and bandaged as instructed.
Avoid tight clothing, sweating, soaking, swimming, and sun exposure.
Cleanse gently and apply after-care products as directed.
Avoid laser treatments near the area, as they may alter pigment color.
Use SPF 50+ once healed to protect results.

Long-Term Care & Maintenance

Sun exposure is the leading cause of pigment fading.

Always protect healed cosmetic tattoos with SPF once healing is complete.

Avoid harsh skincare treatments near tattooed areas.

Follow recommended touch-up schedules to maintain results.

Client Responsibility & Liability

Asunta Cosmetic Tattoo is not responsible for:

Poor healed results due to failure to follow after-care instructions

Pigment loss caused by sun exposure, skincare, lifestyle, or non-compliance

Individual healing variations

Results vary by skin type, lifestyle, and adherence to after-care.
