At Asunta Cosmetic Tattoo, proper pre-care is essential for achieving safe, beautiful, and long-lasting results. Preparing your skin and body correctly helps minimize discomfort, reduce complications, and improve pigment retention and healing outcomes. By booking an appointment with Asunta Cosmetic Tattoo, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to follow all pre-care instructions outlined below. Failure to comply may result in rescheduling or cancellation at the client’s expense.

General Guidelines

To ensure the best possible outcome, all clients must follow these general guidelines unless otherwise instructed:

  • Arrive well-hydrated, well-rested, and nourished.
  • Avoid alcohol, excessive caffeine, and recreational substances before your appointment.
  • Do not take blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or NSAIDs unless prescribed by a physician.
  • Avoid vitamins, supplements, and green juicing that may thin the blood.
  • Avoid sun exposure, tanning, sunburns, or peeling skin near the treatment area.
  • Discontinue saunas, steam rooms, and intense workouts prior to your appointment.
  • Do not arrive with irritated, inflamed, broken, or compromised skin.
  • If you plan to travel shortly after your appointment, consider rescheduling, as proper healing requires protection from sun, water, and exposure.

Medical & Health Disclosure (Required)

Clients must disclose all relevant health information prior to treatment, including but not limited to:

Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Autoimmune disorders or compromised immune system
Use of Accutane, chemotherapy, steroid medications, or similar treatments
History of anemia
Allergies or sensitivities
History of cold sores (for lip blush services)
Recent cosmetic procedures near the treatment area

Cosmetic tattooing is not recommended for clients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or undergoing medical treatments that affect skin healing or immune response.

Service-Specific Pre-Care Requirements

Discontinue prescription retinoids, retinols, acne treatments, brow growth serums, and active skincare products weeks prior to treatment.
Avoid steroids, sun exposure, and tanning.
Begin hydrating the brow area as instructed.
Avoid Botox within 2 weeks and Fillers within 4 weeks of your appointment
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, blood thinners, and intense workouts leading up to your session.
Discontinue all lash growth serums at least 6 weeks prior to your appointment.
Remove all lash extensions before your appointment.
Avoid retinol products, acids, steroids, and regenerative creams near the eyes.
Do not wear eye makeup or contact lenses on the day of your appointment.
Clients with recent cancer treatments or heavy lash serum use may not be eligible without medical clearance.
Discontinue retinoids, exfoliants, and acne treatments near the lips.
Avoid fillers, lasers, microneedling, or electrolysis near the lips within the required timeframe.
If you have a history of cold sores, we strongly advise you to consult your physician for an prophylactic antiviral prescription to prevent an outbreak, which can compromise healed results.
Arrive with clean, product-free lips.
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning substances.
Scars must be fully healed and at least 12 weeks post-operation before treatment.
Avoid sun exposure, tanning, saunas, and intense exercise.
Arrive with clean, product-free skin.
Disclose any previous laser treatments or future plans for laser therapy.

Arrival Requirements

  • Arrive on time with clean, makeup-free skin in the treatment area.
  • Eat a light, nourishing meal prior to arrival.
  • Avoid caffeine and intense physical activity.
  • Be prepared to reschedule if your skin is unsuitable for treatment.

Right to Refuse Service

Asunta Cosmetic Tattoo reserves the right to:

  • Refuse service if pre-care instructions are not followed
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, for any reason, provided such refusal is not based on race, creed, color, or other protected status.
  • Cancel or reschedule appointments if skin integrity or health conditions pose a risk
  • Protect client safety and the quality of results above all else

Cancellations due to improper pre-care are subject to the Cancellation Policy.
